These techniques would be great for range hoods and a host of other things.

Class Description: The etching class will include demos on various resist techniques, as well as safety and setup for electro etching and chemical etching. A room with access to a sink would be ideal for this class, but we can improvise if necessary. Participants will be able to make at least one, possibly two, etched copper jewelry pieces.

Bio: Lisa Skeen is a visual artist and art educator from Summerfield, NC. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UNCG and has been self-employed as an artist and art educator since 1995, including nine years with the Guilford County school system. She has been working as a metalsmith for 16 years, working mostly in copper and sterling silver, and has work in collections all around the globe.

Tools: Apron, nitrile gloves, safety goggles
