Creating A Watercolor Travel Journal
Thursday, September 21
If you have wanderlust - the desire to travel and explore - this class will speak your language!. Trish will share her lovely travel journals and sketches from around the world and inspire students to creatively savor the essence of a place through words, imagery, and paint.
Students will create a handmade, 8 page travel journal from a single sheet of watercolor paper and learn to enhance pages with several mixed media techniques. Students will learn the exciting process of plein air sketching by perfecting the "art of seeing" as they are guided through the process of how to record imagery from their favorite places in watercolors in a quick, easy watercolor sketching process Trish calls, "drawing with a brush." Student’s sketches will be combined with creative writing excercises and collaging ephemera as they create their own personalized travel memory journal.
Come and be transported and leave inspired to creatively savor everyday moments in your life!
